Mallrats
holy peak fr; this movie was the perfect balance of funny and romantic and artsy and just peak. kevin smith has a way of writing relatable characters that im able to see myself in; both t.s and brodie were some of the more relatable characters when it comes to how i spend my days and the way i interact with my friends. the ending of this movie was sweet and it was constantly hilarious. i love so many of the actors involved in this and the whole kevin smith cinematic universe movies are quickly becoming some of my favorites. this is definitely a contender for my favorite kevin smith movie in competition with clerks. mallrats is my moms favorite kevin smith movie and for good reason there’s just something so gripping about it and it’s (as i previously stated) hilarious. i’m aware this may be too much overhyping for what may seem like an average rom com but if u think that then i think u just don’t get it although my fondness may just be recency bias i doubt it. the soundtrack of this movie was superb and i was happy to hear a weezer track at the end. this movie really made me wanna fall in love like all good romance movies do (if you can count mallrats as a romcom). i think everyone needs to see this movie(and clerks for that matter).
