Oldboy

After thinking about it for about 30 minutes before writing this review Oldboy is one of the best films ever made. No joy resides in this film, only pain and revenge. It challenges notions on what a revenge film is and manages to be the golden standard. The finale is something else, actually made me sick to my stomach. Probably one of my favorites. Absolutely disgusting and disturbing. One of the best scores I’ve ever heard in a film, Park-Chan Wook does something special here. This film is an absolute masterpiece. The more I think about this film the more it imbeds itself in my mind.
