Interstellar
There’s too much to say about this film. I’m well aware of the criticism that this film gets for being overrated or overhyped but it truly is just that good. The score, cinematography, plot, direction, performances, are all just off the fucking charts. This is a movie that grabs you, throws you down and pins you to your seat and it doesn’t let go until the end but even when the credits roll and you’re free to leave, you’re too stunned to do anything. This movie is just such a trip and it’s so amazingly crafted. The messages and themes are so incredible, I mean what about love being able to transcend even the barriers of space time isn’t to love? Christopher Nolan set out to do the craziest shit imaginable with this movie and succeeded because it goes balls deep into telling this story of trans dimensional love, of holding on to hope while others lose that hope and plunge into desperation and what lies at the core of humanity, love and the willingness to do anything to hold on to that love.
