Parasite

So I came back from the cinema after seeing Joker, and I was incredibly excited to have seen my favorite movie ever. From the first screening, I knew this movie would make history, and I went home to find out more about what people were saying about it. I couldn't find anything, as almost no one had noticed that it had been released. I was a little disappointed, until I came across a review that had a list of its favorite movies and mentioned Parasite. Without giving anything away, the reviewer said that Joker was perhaps the best film they had seen, except for this one, and that piqued my curiosity. They said the film was crazy and subversive, and even though I searched high and low and couldn't find anyone else talking about it, I had already built up hype in my mind. Shortly after, I watched Parasite, and sure enough, the reviewer was right. The film was indeed the best of the year. The rest is history.
