Anora
Mark Eydelshteyn's preformance was so electric that during the last 3/4 of the film when they're looking for him you feel Vanya's absence and suddenly are brought down from this euphoric high to a very anticlimactic medium. Anora and Igor were such a wholesome duo and this makes sense because even if it wasn't trying to be; Anora is a film about class. About rich people who do what they want and poor who are left to pick up the pieces. And that's why Anora and Igor understand each other so well, she tries to repay him in the only way she knows how and cries -heartbroken over this futile attempt at connection. Fantastic film, Baker does an excellent job keeping his work independent, focusing on stigmatized topics (prostitution) and still making art for the masses. Deserved all the awards talk, Anora said it best "F*ck" (this is said about 400 times in the film).
