Alien

Alien is a great movie. It reminds me of The Thing, in that it’s a horror movie, but puts other elements in front of the horror, making it a slower, more thrilling plot. There’s also fire. Sigourney Weaver has a great performance as Ripley, and Ian Holm is pretty good, too. But I can’t review Alien without giving credit to H. R. Giger’s brilliant designs, bringing his painting Necronom IV to life in a stunning and horrifying way. Overall, this movie is fantastic, and there better not be any more. 10/10
