incredible film one of those touching films that makes you want to do something meaningful with your life. a sad film with a really optimistic conclusion for watanabe. i love the ending, and how everyone at his wake vows to be like him, with it then cutting to everyone back at work, highlighting how difficult change is in a capitalist society. the two kurosawa films i’ve seen so far have been fantastic, looking forward to watching seven samurai next
