The Swimmer

* "If you make believe hard enough that something is true, then it is true for you.” * great film. the descent into the tragedy of ned’s actual life is amazingly written, and this film looks tremendous. ned merrill is a clear inspiration for don draper. the final scene where ned arrives home is so upsetting, everything he said previously in the film crashes down on top of him.
