The Thing

John Carpenter’s The Thing is a pioneer in the horror genre. The film has special effects that are still terrifying to this day, excellent performance from the entire cast and an atmosphere that makes you feel tense throughout. The fact that this film was hated by both critics and audiences when it released back in 1982 shows that critics and even audiences sometimes don’t know what they’re missing out on. Especially critics.  John Carpenter’s The Thing is the perfect horror movie. The genre doesn’t get much better than this film. 10/10
