Snowpiercer
This was such an incredible movie, it's been in my watchlist for a while now, and it did NOT disappoint. Snowpiercer is an incredibly unique and stylistic movie, with some incredible world building and beautiful cinematography. And although I normally criticize the "shaky cam" I think it was done only when needed, and it wasn't jarring or done in bad taste. (Also why is it that 2013 is like the only year movies have used a shaky cam???)
I know there is a lot of people out there that don't like the ending of this movie, but for me the ending was incredibly meaningful and well executed. Why WOULD Curtis continue this cycle of classism and oppression? It's obvious nothing would have changed or have even been able to change.
I also want to mention that I watched this free on YouTube, and unfortunately there were no subtitles for the two Korean actors, so I'm going to need to rewatch this.
