Dirty Dancing

What a great movie led by two amazing performances with a top 10 movie soundtrack all time and ofcourse a top5 quote “Nobody puts baby in a corner”. Emile Ardolino is really not given his credit for how well he directed this movie. Choreography aside, the use of color is maybe my favorite I’ve seen in a movie outside of LaLaLand, and the wide shots were really well done. The subtle performance from Jerry Orbach where he tears up on the docks really impacted the tone of the movie so well, I loved it. Also worth noting a movie from the 80’s set in the 60’s has such a clear and blatant screaming message on women’s access to healthcare and nearly 40 years later, here we are.
