Heat
Probably the best directing job in cinema history. Jammed pack with style while none of it is distracting. Hands down there’s not a single movie that has better action than this movie has, without a single use of CGI, that’s movie magic. DeNiro and Pacino both give what I think is their best ever performances. The rest of the cast is all giving their best too, and without a lot of story every side character feels like they have so much depth and you can truly imagine the history of each character whether it’s Voight, Kilmer, or Sizemore, or anyone else. Diner scene is a top 3 scene in history, and the major shootout might be another top10 one. Michael Mann should get a retroactive Best Director Oscar for this.
