Bree had many interesting layers and I loved seeing them unfold with klute, however I do wish a bit more of Klute’s personality was conveyed, his character just seemed too surface level caring “nice”’guy. (Spoilers) I like that the movie’s ending doesn’t have Bree going off with Klute romantically, but implies Bree goes off to find herself, away from the patriarchy she had originally constructed around her life. I do like the movies approach too on making the crime not the main focus, but the relationship between Bree and Klute. The movie is less about discovering the truth about the crime, but two strangers discovering one another, specially Bree. However I’ll also criticize the crime portion of the movie because it was slightly too anticlimactic and predictable.
