Sicario

I’ve seen it only once before, I barely remember anything. That just tends to happen with a lot of movies for me. But wow it’s so much better than I remember. This went hard as fuck. Sicario feels like it was made for me. Denis Villeneuve is my kind of director. Roger Deakins is my kind of cinematographer. Jóhann Jóhannsson is my kind of composer. It’s like this movie was made for me. Cooked to my liking. Tailored to suit me. Made just the way I like it. Absolutely spectacular in every department. A masterclass in building nail-biting tension. And what I really love about this movie is that it’s not the usual clear-cut American propaganda, where they’re the flawless good guys. It’s not black and white. It sits right in the middle. There’s a lot of moral ambiguity and blurred lines, which I think not a lot of movies actually go for.
