Spirited Away
This was the last Miyazaki film that I hadn’t seen, and boy am I glad I saved it for last, Even with everyone telling me it would be the best one I didn’t believe it because I love all of these movies so much it seemed like it couldn’t be done, but it has been done. The arc of her over coming her fears of moving to a new home and new school by going through a crazy spirit world was SO well done. And the message of kindness being the true magic is something I love to see in movies, much like Miles in the spiderverse films Chirio is a kind and good person for no other reason than it is the right thing to do, and her kindness is infectious to the other spirits she meets on her journey. I finished this movie like 2 hours ago and am still in tears, fucking fantastic and I need to watch it again ASAP!
