Also an underrated performance from Josh Brolin as shady CIA, Matt who's performance underpins the entire tone of the film. In another timeline or if made today, Taylor Sheridan would have played the character of Matt himself and stripped the entire nuisance and intrest that Josh Brolin and Denis Villeneuve are able to bring to the character. And instead would have replaced it with flashy operatic speeches to show how cool the character and in turn he is. Completely changing the film. Denis Villeneuve and Roger Deakin style shines through from beginning to end with great memorable scenes from beginning to end.
