Scarface
A gung ho tale of power, ambition, greed, corruption, betrayal, and collapse. A tale of Icarus set in the crime-infested streets of a roaring America, where immigrant mentality meets American freedom. Scarface is a captivating noir drama with scathing remarks on gang warfare, police and state corruption, media sensationalization, and innocent lives lost at the intersection of all of the above. A searingly enjoyable experience. Paul Muni's presence is magnetic as fuck. Fascinating piece of cinema.
