Past Lives

Beautiful beautiful beautiful directional debut by Celine Song. Best thing ab the movie was the SHOTSSSSS THE CAMERA SHOTSS GOD DAMN AND THE CINEMATOGRAPHYYY WOWOWOWOWO. And then the writing carries the movie basically Celine song just literally is the soul of this film. The film is great sure maybe I had higher expectations to be impressed by the acting or writing because at times I honestly felt it was slow paced or like the silence at some shots was too long. The acting was no offense nothing incredible. like I know Greta lee definitely has a great potential but there wasn’t much of Oscar worthy scenes here so I’m not mad at all she didn’t get an Oscar nomination. The ending broke me into pieces LITERALLY absolutely heartbreaking ending that’s when I lost it and started crying.
