Adaptation.

Leave it to Charlie Kaufman to write a film that leaves me feeling anxious and on the edge of an existential crisis for damn near most of its runtime, yet finding a resolution that give me as much relief and optimism that he/his character gets at the end. Although, while I call myself a screenwriter, I haven't sold anything, so I'm definitely a rung below Mr. Kaufman (if not a dozen rungs below). Also, while I do love Kaufman's directorial work but when he and Jonze get together, they really make something special.
