Shutter Island

Damn is this movie amazing i've been pushing off watching this movie as i knew that it was a scorsese movie and FOR THE MOST PART they use to drag a lot but this movie didnt its run time of 2:18 hours is perfect i didnt feel its run time even once and when you talk about scorsese and unfelt run times you are talking about a 10/10movie. I have to mention dicaprio hes so good in this movie and it is definetly one of his best preformences in his carrer the way hes executed this role to perfection is amazing and i enjoyed it thoroughly. I need to mention parts of this movie that i've forgotten but are so good the way the inmates treat him like theyre scared of him is executed so well and its clearly scorsese given us signs that something is wrong with him and at the start when we see the inmate tell him to be quiet is so funny because they probably told the inmates to be quiet around him and to not mention his real name to keep up the play, his reggresion because he stopped taking his drugs is so executed so well and its making us think that they are poisining him or something but in the end it is just his regressions. The end of this movie is in my opinion him actually accepting reality and the fact he is andrew and that he did kill his wife but he chooses to get the lobotomy because he cant continue living with him self knowing that he completly ignored his wife's needs and in the end led to his family's death and because of that fact he chooses to get the lobotomy and bassicly kill him self and the main part why i think this is the truth is because of his famous quote: " would you rather become a monster or die as a good men " and in his mind living while accepting the truth is becoming a monster and he prefers to die in his mind as a good men. Overall this movie is fantastic from start to finish its perfect i loved it 9.8-10/10.
