Blow Out
The opening scene is masterclass in camera work, the way it captures everything and youre in the point of view of the killer is brilliant yet obviously satire and made to mimick cheap horror movies, just the camera work in general is amazing and unique it also uses the split diopter shot quite often but it doesnt just use it for no reason, i think it earns its use and its overused but in a good way. I adore the jazz music, and the music in general it accompanies the movie and its aesthetic and has that signature 80s movie music feel which i honestly love. I love how it encapsulates the sound design concept and actually also has great sound design. This movie is 100% made for watching at night, i think watching this at night instead of day time will enhance the experience 10×, mostly cause of the aesthetic which is so wonderful. The ending is so devastating "it's a good scream" i will remember that line. And that one scene with the fireworks is probably my favourite scene in cinema history, its so beautiful, its sad and the music leaves you speechless.
