After Hours
I didnt expect to love this so much. It opens up as a normal movie, it almost seems to be a romance and then things just get very weird and surreal. Its such a unique experience, the way it induces anxiety as well theres so many things going on off screen which you are worried thinking about while the main character Paul keeps forgetting about them. Its directed so well by Scorsese, the cinematography being great and the soundtrack anxiety inducing. The characters all have so much going on and we meet a new one like every ten minutes, the movie never gets stale because of how much is going on. The aesthetic is also so great it being exclusively at night time and with this vintage feel. And then there's these subtle details which at first seem to mean nothing but if you think about them you give your own interpretation, thats another thing about this movie that made me love it so much.
