Malcolm X
Easily one of the best biopics/movies I have ever seen. Despite being such a culturally significant film, its also extremely well paced and entertaining. This movie really did teach me so much about Malcolm X and why he is such an honorable man. The development he had as a person is so insane he went from a street hustler to one of the most important men in Black history, American history and even modern Islamic history. The scene when hes in Mecca and he realises that color doesnt matter and that he prays to the same god with people of every race and ethnicity, gave me chills and in my opinion is one of the most impactful scenes of any kind in cinema. From the 3 Spike Lee movies I have seen so far this one is easily my favourite and in my opinion his best and most important work. In terms of acting its perfect, Denzel Washington brings one of the best performances of all time, its cinematography is also really beautiful and its use of aesthetic going from jazzy black culture to political also matches perfectly with the structure and plot of the movie.
