The Lighthouse

Before the movie started I thought: Wow, I have no idea what is about to happen in this movie. After the movie ended I thought: Wow, I have no idea what just happened in that movie. But in all seriousness it is a miracle that this movie exists. The cinematography alone should win this movie more oscars than The English patient. It feels like a lost film from the past. The two leads in this movie illuminate the screen in every second of this film. Willem is a true legend, and is possibly getting the best roles of his career in recent years (this as well as “At Eternity’s Gate” both fantastic). It is seriously impressive how well Robert has steered his career post-twilight. Both give career defining performances. Anyways, glad I decided to catch this one as soon as I could! Can’t wait to pretentiously talk about this movie to a bunch of people who don’t care.
