City Lights
My friend and I watched this in History class after learning about the 1930s, and it was such an amazing experience. City Lights is an absolutely adorable film that perfectly captures the heart and humor of Charlie Chaplin’s work. I love how he’s able to tell such an emotional and meaningful story without any actual words.
The romance and kindness at the center of the film really stuck with me, and the ending was so sweet and touching that it honestly melted my heart. Charlie Chaplin has such a unique way of blending comedy with genuine emotion, and this movie is a perfect example of why his films are phenomenal.
