Videodrome

The first time I watched this movie was November 2022. I was at my parents house for I don’t know what reason and they allowed me to rent a movie on their Amazon and this is the movie I chose, and it was one of the most impactful decisions I’ve ever made. At this time in my life, I felt creatively listless. I had just officially declared my major to be media studies and film studies, but I had really no idea what I was doing in that program besides the fact that I knew that I loved movies. Now as I write this review, I am about six weeks away from graduating college. I feel creatively driven, excited and nervous for what my future holds, and I have to thank this movie for a lot of that. Seeing this on a big screen for the first time was truly a transcendent experience. Thank you to my parents for letting me rent this movie, thank you Micah for watching this with me on one of our first dates, thanks to reaghan’s friend for giving me a free ticket.
