Lanterns

A great watch and surpassed my expectations for a grounded live action comic series. Loved the characters and the murder mystery behind Hal’s death. Sad seeing how a great hero loses his touch and falls at the end. Sad seeing John being groomed into being destined to being the next Green Lantern. But, I freaking loved the buddy cop adventure we get at the end with Hal-ogram and John. Seeing them actually get together, despite the circumstances going on. The “I love you too Junior” really hit home and brought me to tears as a Comic Book and Green Lantern fan (Green Lantern was the hero that got me into comics). They made changes from the comics of course. I’ll be honest. Most of it I was fine with. Some of it I was a little upset they went with, but it is what it is. Could this series use more space? Yes. Could this series use more constructs, Yes. Could this series use more of the Green Lanterns suits, Yes. Could there have been more action, Again… Yes. All in all I thing this series did a great job for a grounded, gritty, small adventure that can go into bigger places I. The future with a season 2 and give us fans more of what we want. Until then. This was a great show in my opinion.
