Apocalypse Now

I have finally found a way to watch this movie and simply what the fuck. I kinda knew I was going to like it from everything that is said about this but holy shit. That was incredible. There is something that I can’t put a word to but when something feels just so much bigger than just a movie like it’s the sheer world around us. We learn about the Vietnam war in school a little and we obviously hear about its history and how devastating it was. To see fictional but realistic footage of what was going on was insane. That war was a shit show to say the least. I haven’t watched much of Martin sheen but holy, did he give this role his all. Duvall plays such a different character from Tom Hagen I think it’s hilarious. Every moment that Brando is on the screen is an important moment. They truly make him horrifying in this. Francis really had something special here going in the 70s.
