Good Will Hunting
Something about this movie is so healing. It’s always just meant so much to me and every time I watch it I feel it all over again. Boston accents are hilarious. But the thing about this movie is robin Williams acting and the writing from Matt Damon and Ben affleck. Fucking impressive. I was blown away when I figured out they wrote this thing themselves.
“in 20 years if you're still livin' here, comin' over to my house, watchin' the Patriots games, workin' construction, I'll fuckin' kill ya. That's not a threat, that's a fact, I'll fuckin' kill ya.”
When chuckie said this it is so meaningful because it takes a true friend to tell you to your face your being a jackass. It takes a true friend to want to see someone do things that others can’t. Chuckie was such a good friend to will.
“I'd ask you about love, you'd probably quote me a sonnet. But you've never looked at a woman and been totally vulnerable. Known someone that could level you with her eyes, feeling like God put an angel on earth just for you.”
Robins character describes love in such a beautiful way. Any dialogue from the therapy sessions are astonishing.
When Robin says “it’s not your fault” I imagine my pretend Robin Williams therapist says it to me
