The Dark Knight

This movie is probably one of my earliest memories of ever watching real non cartoon movies. This is probably the first movie that my brother ever showed me and this is probably the first movie I was ever really obsessed with. This is the greatest superhero movie ever made. This is the greatest Batman movie ever made. This is the greatest Joker movie ever made. I stand by everything that this movie is. Christian Bale is my Batman because of this movie. As a kid if I ever thought of Batman in my head it would be the sight of him. Btw he nailed the voice in this one. I kinda see it like the goat debate for basketball of LeBron and Jordan. Each generation has their goat. Older generations it’s Adam West or Michael Keaton. Newer generations I guarantee will be Robert Pattinson. But me, it will always be Christian Bale, a really really beautiful depiction of Bruce Wayne and Batman. This one is particularly special because of who played the Joker. Heath gave his heart and soul to this role, he put everything he had into it, and it paid off. When I was a kid I was so frightened by the Joker because of this movie, that’s exactly what he was going for. He’s unrecognizable in this movie. It’s so sad that we lost him after this. I hope where he is now he can be proud of his work. Every scene the Joker is in I was just so locked in because it’s arguably one of the best performances caught on camera. Genuinely one of the best. He did something so special in this movie that no one can replicate. The Joker is such a deeper more interesting character and villain than we all think and I really think that Heath was the beginning of opening that up and showing that side to him. Extraordinary. This movie was a big part of my childhood and it’s just so awesome. I love it so much and I hold it close to me. I’m glad that we get to see newer depictions and adaptations of a dramatic version of Joker and Batman, but this, to me, is the goat. When it comes to movie, Batman, Joker, anything. This is the greatest to me and this is my favorite. Just another marvel that we have Christopher Nolan to thank for.  “You ether die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain” “Some men just want to watch the world burn”
