Vertigo
This was incredible. Absolute cinema.
I’ll admit, at first I thought it was a little slow and directionless. I wasn’t really sure where the story was going, but once everything started clicking step by step, one thing after another, I was just sitting there like wow. The story is incredible and the way everything comes together is so satisfying.
Jimmy Stewart was amazing. The soundtrack is insane too, genuinely one of my favorite things about the movie and it’s going straight to my playlist.
And this movie is BEAUTIFUL. I keep realizing how colorful older movies were. There are so many gorgeous shots in this and the colors are just incredible. Hitchcock’s direction and the camera work are on another level.
And that ending… speechless. I genuinely wasn’t expecting it and it was the perfect way to end the movie.
I went from wondering where the movie was even going to being completely locked in.
