Apocalypse Now

I loved watching it for the first time so much I decided to watch it again, this time I watched the redux cut which I still loved but I am glad I watched the theatrical cut first and still think the theatrical cut is far superior. While I enjoyed the added scenes about surfing and did find them quite funny I didn't think it really fitted Willards character to steal the board, I thought that the 2nd Playboy bunnys scene was just weird and unnecessary, and finally I like the French plantation scene's message about imperialism but it dragged on too long and it broke the feeling of arriving at increasingly insane destinations, with Kurtz being the "final boss". I will be watching the final cut at some point but I'm in no rush.
