Frozen II

This is one of the rare occasions that the sequel was much more enjoyable than the first one. I loved the darker tone and the stakes were a tad bit higher. They surprisingly made Olaf a bit more serious than how he was in the first one (to the point that there’s an entire song about it). The music was a big improvement and I’m glad that each main character got their own fleshed out song this time around. Kristoff’s song, “Lost in the Woods”, immediately became one of my (and my best friend’s) favorites and I enjoyed the power ballad feel they were going for. “Show Yourself” and “Into the Unknown” are tied for my top songs of this film and are definitely going to be in my head for a while. All in all, this film was a fantastic sequel and I enjoyed it more than I expected to.
