Malcolm X
The magnitude of this movie is incredible. 3 hours and 21 minutes and i still don't know if it was enough to portray the life of one of the most influential people of the 20th century. The history of a martyr from it's horrible start to the perdition of his younger years through the greatness and the grisly assassination. And Denzel Washington was the right man for this important role. The cinematography was incredible and really cemented the solemn feel this movie has. The secondary performances which were the most striking were Delroy Lindo and Giancarlo Esposito. The scene in which Malcom meets his criminal mentor after his downfall was really touching. Not to mention the scenes that narrate El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz's birth during his religious trip to the Levant... Pure beauty.
The assassination scene was also solemn and, in some way, glorious.
