Wow there’s so much I love abt this movie. The acting was insane, the story was extremely interesting and well put together with twists around each corner. The metaphors and visuals in this were sometimes mysterious at the beginning and started to make more sense as it went on. The cinematography was incredible, like seriously some of the best I’ve seen for a while. Also, I watched a lot of Ari Aster movies so I’ve seen a couple centered on grief and all of them are great but this one might be my favorite, or tied with Hereditary. How desperate Teddy gets because he’s gone next to insane because of his whole family and everyone he loved passing away and what happened to him in his past and everything. And Emma Stones acting was incredible. Everyone’s was, but Emma Stone took it to another level for me because there were a couple points where I switched between not alien and alien. I like how she was manipulative just like Teddy said and purposefully made mistakes the whole movie so other people wouldn’t suspect her and I also loved that the movie showed that. I am also in a time of my life trying to figure out what’s out there (not like aliens but in the greater stretch) and this genuinely makes my mind go crazy with more possibilities, so maybe this wasn’t the best movie to watch rn but like it’s good that a movie could make me do that.
