Stalker

it’s slow pace and vagueness can make it frustrating in its first hour or so, but once the theme becomes clear, everything is put in perspective and the true genius of the film is revealed. this blew my expectations out of the water. I love its theme of how it is better to hope than to not, even if it can come at a cost and can even be dangerous. plus i feel like it did a great job at tackling a lot of other subthemes which were also impactful. the world crafted in this looks incredible. the acting was great, although sometimes characters would do things that would come off as a bit silly. the atmosphere is near perfect. this is really just a fest of a film for its time.  9/10
