Magnolia

just had my soul gripped, so emotional with some of the most amazing pacing, beautiful soundtrack, the camera work and cinematography, a true PTA style of film, everything from start to finish was perfect, 3 hours of no breakpoints, eyes glued to the screen. everything was felt.
by far the absolute best dialogue, just perfect.
Exodus 8:2
i read “T👁️” review which helped me understand it more and just wow.the symbolism of the numbers 8 and 2 in the film is so significant and i just love the thought that was put into that i really enjoy little things like that in movies.
paul thomas anderson’s understanding of humanity at the age during when this was made is actually sick.
peak cast selection.
i’ve never seen anything like it, it’s been awhile since something touched me so deep so moving with such symbolic meaning.
"Motherfucker. Motherfucker. You fucking asshole. Who the fuck are you? Who the fuck do you think you are? I come in here, you don't know me, you don't know who I am, what my life is, you have the balls, the indecency to ask me a question about my life? Fuck you, too. Don't call me "lady". I come in here, I give these things to you, you check, you make your phone calls, look suspicious, ask questions. I'm sick. I have sickness all around me and you fucking ask me about my life? "What's wrong?" Have you seen death in your bed? In your house? Where's your fucking decency? And then I'm asked fucking questions. What's... wrong? You suck my dick. That's what's wrong. And you, you fucking call me "lady"? Shame on you. Shame on you. Shame on both of you.”
“We might be through with the past but the past ain’t through with us.”
