Wild Strawberries

Don’t always log my Wild Strawberries watches. Probably my 5th watch. Probably my favorite movie in the world- but 100% my favorite closing scene. It is lodged so deep in my brain I think if I ever had to cry on command I could use it and succeed  This is longing and regretful but also optimistic. Isak is 78 but he’s also a child. It is about how we do not have enough time but also that it is never too late.  Bergman’s technical mastery is so impressive at this point in his career. So many decisions he made here add texture and richness visually and thematically.
