Spider-Man
No wonder I was so in love with this movie and ultimately the trilogy of Raimi’s Spider-Man. This movie had it all for me, the acting I enjoyed a lot, it fit the tone of the movie well. This movie looks so good in 4K, especially only being able to watch the movie in 480p up until this point but there are some pretty shots in this movie. I do think it can be better and I do think they improve on cinematography in the later movies. The pacing is very fast-paced and I never realized that until this watch, I will admit that some scenes don’t linger enough with audience as they move on to the next scene too fast. But I’ll be lying if I said that I thought it was a major sin for this movie. This was a great introduction to Spider-Man and I love this movie so much. Willem Dafoe is the standout and his performance is so campy, I love every second of it.
Also, that wrestling match scene with Macho Man probably made 5 year old me mark out so hard. It still holds up as one of my favorite scenes in the trilogy. “BONESAW IS READYYYYY.”
