Once

Fun story, I first discovered the music from this film through a blended Spotify playlist shared with a friend (thank u Hannah ☺️) who then told me to go and watch Once, and now I’m a changed woman!! It’s amateurish camerawork and earnest performances from both leads lend such charm and sincerity to the story. The driving force is the music though! Genuinely so good that it can stand on its own — independent of the film. What I love most though is how this feels true to most creatives, cherishing those moments of inspiration to create art in between the blasé routine of day-to-day living. I particularly loved how the opening set the tone perfectly. Overall, it's such a gem. It’s La La Land for the working man. Loved it!  Might get bumped to a top four, stay tuned.
