Sinners
i am going to be very to be disappointed watching most movies from now on that they aren't this creative, artistic, and passionate as this... make bold moves! ryan coogler is a genius but you can clearly see how the movie is a team effort with the performances people are giving, the music, and EVERYTHING
misc thoughts- the way this movie absolutely had a hold over how I felt was insane- very tense scenes and immaculate pacing (for my taste at least, the later half doesn't waste time in my opinion)- the music is amazing of course, seamlessly making the more cinematic stuff sound diagetic and making it so immersive- the genre switch is well done and I don't care about the "lengthy" setup because all of it works so well to setup the tragedy of it all and is still entertaining. not everything has to be a big moment- i love this take on vampires, been really enjoying some vampire stuff like castlevania and nosferatu- this is one of those movies where it's like "the best movie i never wanna see again" except I do wanna see it again! im sure the rewatch value is insane I just don't know if my heart can take it again, but maybe that was just the candy
