Hereditary
Rewatching Hereditary feels like peeling back a scab you know shouldn’t have healed that way.
Toni Collette is unreal. That dinner table scene? It guts me every time. Alex Wolff stands out even more. His performance is so raw, so full of guilt and confusion. Watching his face fall apart scene by scene always breaks me.
At each time I rewatch this movie is more apparent that the grief is the real horror. Yes, there’s the cult, the possessions, etc but it’s the silence in that house, the way the family stops knowing how to talk to each other, that stuck with me.
It’s not just scary, it’s sad. And that's what makes it unforgettable and amazing. This movie doesn’t just haunt you. It hurts you. Deeply.
