had to rewatch because it will not leave my mind and i have so so many thoughts and feelings  the sound editing oh my god ??? the moments where the character’s movements were in sync to the music are you kidding me ??? this is such a layered and detailed movie and the more i watch it the more things i pick up on. i found its commentary surrounding assimilation and identity really engaging and though-provoking and i thought the incorporation of vampires to convey that was so so clever. you can see the passion and dedication from everyone involved bursting out in every frame  honestly some of the most beautiful cinematography i’ve seen ever. ryan coogler is a generational talent and if this doesn’t win best picture a year from now i’ll cry my eyes out
