Maybe 5 good bits surrounded by a load of baby shit. This was Liam Neeson’s audition tape for Frank Drebbin Jr. I love a courtroom drama, and this still ended up boring me quite a lot. Then it would give me a laugh out loud moment at some point. I guess Seth MacFarlane’s writing is really only good for TV.

Crazy stacked cast fo no reason at all. About as boring as I remember. I think I’d watch up until the Live and Let Die scene as a kid. Mostly because I liked the song and I thought “Someone better be dying” to “I’m dying” was the funniest thing. It’s still quite funny. It does also have Maya Rudolph saying Pookie which I immediately remembered that whole bit being a TikTok audio for a bit.

Maybe it’s not my thing, and I completely understand that. I was quite frustrated while watching the latter half of this. Mostly because I started to realize the plotholes within this, but I could look past that. Then the whole thing of them not being able to remember the other’s names started to happen. You quite literally spent multiple days in this persons body and basically trained yourself to respond to their names started, but yeah lets make them not remember because that makes it cute at the end…

It’s been over a year since I’ve watched this and I’ve never stopped thinking about it. Now, that might be because of my love for Bob Dylan’s music since watching it, but it also just came at the perfect time for me. I am still unbelievably mad at the academy for not giving the Oscar to Timmy for this, but I could say that for a lot of performances of his. This one just feels personal to me. Bob Dylan is such a mythical figure, and to capture him at the most pivotal part of his career is brave. But Mangold and Chalamet do it wonderfully. Fun Fact: one of my professors found out I loved this movie, and Dylan’s music so she got the author to zoom in for a class one day since he’s a good friend of hers. Thank you Dr. Collins. That meant a lot. My favorite part of the movie might be the MS Delta Blues player showing back up and handing out sips of his bottle. Very accurate portrayal of people from the Delta, and blues players specifically.
