The Notebook

This movie believes that persistence equals devotion, and that love is proven through emotional intensity rather than emotional attunement and, I remained unconvinced, there’s passion, sure, but it’s loud, repetitive, and deeply uninterested in mutual growth- I kept waiting for the relationship to evolve, and instead it just kept yelling about how much it wanted to exist and, it’s not that I don’t believe in grand romance- I do, I just believe it should come with communication, boundaries, and at least one quiet moment of self-awareness.
