Wow, no way the ship sinks! Honestly, I’d rather freeze in that water than watching it again- I mean, I thought rewatching it would’ve changed my mind but, the insistence that this is the greatest love story ever told, when it’s actually a very intense vacation romance followed by maritime tragedy isn’t something I like- the emotion is sincere, but it’s accelerated, and we’re asked to grieve something that barely had time to become complicated- I mean don’t get me wrong, I admire the scale, the craft, and the commitment to spectacle- I just wish the intimacy had been given the same patience as the iceberg…
