Ahsoka

THIS MINISERIES WAS RELEASED DURING THE ACTORS AND WRITERS STRIKE OF 2023. STUDIOS SUCH AS DISNEY (AND LUCASFILM) NEED TO PAY THE ACTORS AND WRITERS WHAT THEY ARE WORTH TO THE INDUSTRY, AND THEY NEED TO PROTECT THEIR WORK FROM BEING EXPLOITED BY AI. Ahsoka gave me more of the tense, up close action that’s key to a good Star Wars series (which I feel has been missing from most shows in the franchise recently other than the first major show in the “Filoniverse”, The Mandolorian (2019-). it also felt good to reunite with the characters of Star Wars Rebels (2014-2018), which is a show that I personally loved growing up on Disney XD. Stand out character arcs would have to be Sabine (this show is just as much about her character arc after Rebels and how it ties to the overall “Filloniverse” arc as it is Ahsoka, Thrawn (the choice to use the same actor as Rebels leads to a really cold and calculating performance) and Hera (Mary Elizabeth Winstead is just amazing.) However, going back to thrawn, his CG looks somewhat unsettling (which blocks me from ranking this any higher)
