Annie Hall

so here we are annie hall at a 5. ive read through the top reviews on this site and im a tad bit confused. numerous ppl r upset abt how allen seems self absorbed and arrogant like was that not the whole point of the movie? that was the purpose of the character i don’t get how that can be a criticism when that’s clearly the joke and the point the movie is trying to make. nonetheless it’s one of the best screenplays of all time it’s rly intelligent and consistently funny. all the quirks and gimmicks throughout r absolutely perfect. the one 2 second scene that made me say hey is that jeff goldblum also perfect. the performances r excellent and the direction is solid enough for what it’s doing. overall this is an excellent film a classic and one i hope to revisit over again. fuck woody allen but this films a masterpiece
