Probably some of the absolute best practical effects I've seen in a film icl. The Thing did not disappoint in being a thrilling, mysterious horror which made me want it to never end. Kurt Russell is great in this, but unfortunately apart from maybe one or two characters the rest felt really bland and failed to make me care about them. Could be 4.5 on rewatch..... Real life among us is cold.
