Watcher
being in a foreign country where you don't speak or understand the language and you're isolated and lonely and paranoid that you're being watched and followed while there's a serial killer that specifically targets women at large is truly one of the most terrifying concepts and chloe okuno did such a great job bringing that fear to this film. her writing and directing is so good.
this movie is so gorgeous, i love the way that it's filmed, i love the interior design and the outfits that julia wears. maika monroe is perfectly cast in this role, she's one of my favourites but biases aside she's sooo good in this. i really love julia as a character and her descent into paranoia and frustration with no one believing her except her neighbor irina, she's a girl's girl and i love their friendship. karl glusman is also great in this but his character pisses me off so bad like believe your wife and don't make her fears into a joke, he did not deserve that cute little dracula figure. burn gorman is also perfectly cast in this and gives such an subtle yet unsettling performance.
if you're into slow burn psychological horrors with a hitchcock vibe then i can't recommend this enough.
